The Journal of Pastoral Care & Counseling advances theory and professional practice through scholarly and reflective literature on pastoral and spiritual care, counseling, psychotherapy, education, and research.
JPC&C has been in continuous publication since 1947. Fours issues are published each year – in March, June, September, and December. See the Table of Contents for the Current Issue here.
Effective Vol 69:1 (March, 2015) JPC&C is published on the platform of SAGE Publications (JPC&C at SAGE) – and subscriptions and submissions are managed at that website. Subscription prices for various regions of the world can be found at that site by indicating your region when asked to do so after clicking on the “Subscribe” link.Members of JPCP Member Associations have access to JPC&C as a benefit of membership in their association – via the Members Only section of their association’s website.
JPCP does NOT have access to the personal information of JPC&C subscribers or of the members of JPCP’s Member Associations.
Occasionally special collections of JPC&C articles are made available. One such collection, comprising 23 articles on Research in Pastoral Care & Counseling, can be found here. The collection was designated a festschrift in honor of John Carr’s 3 decades of service with JPCP in various roles. A brief video of John’s acceptance remarks can be seen below.
